Graham, Attorney <br />r <br />Meeting called to order at 7:.45 pm., and minutes of May 23, 1950, meeting <br />approved as read. <br />Bus hearing Attorney Frank. J. Haauaond, representing the Village at <br />report. the Falcon Heights bus service hearing, held at 1:30 pm., <br />Tuesday, June 13, 1950, before the State Railroad and <br />Nfarehouae Commission, reported that the hearing was well <br />attended, that the Street Railway reported losing about <br />X15,000 operating the route during 1949. Also that Mr. <br />Q.H. MacDonald, of the North Star Bus Company, whose <br />Company served the Village prior to granting of the bus <br />permit to the Street Railway Company, testified that if <br />the present service were discontinued, his company was <br />interested in serving the area on a limited basis for <br />about s 20-cent fare. Hammond said the Street F.ailway <br />proposed that their Traffic Manager get together with Ed <br />Jones, St Peul utility expert, and someone from the Railroad <br />and Warehouse Commission, to prepare a proposed schedule of <br />operation, which if accepted by those interested at the <br />hearing, the Street Railway would be willing to try it out <br />on a six month basis, with the understanding that they would <br />bring the matter up before the Commission at the end of that <br />time. Will propose resuming achedulo on a reduced basis to <br />include rush periods.
