Rekstad <br />moved that the resolution adapted at a special meeting on Thursday, <br />April 28, 1949, stating -the salary of George E. Swanson as Firo <br />Chief be set at X250.00 per month, plus an allowanbe for the use <br />of his car of X50.00 per month, with the understanding that $50.00 <br />per month be deducted when he occupies quarters in the Fire Station, <br />be repeale~iffective June 30, 1950, and that the salary of George <br />Fire Chief's E. Swanson as Fire Chief, commencing July 1, 1950, be set at X300 <br />salary - apt. per month as recommended by the Fire Protection committee, and <br />rental. that his apartment rent of $50.00 per month be payable in advance <br />on the first of each month sa recommended by the Public Examiner. <br />Lindig seconded and motion carried unanimously. Yr. Swanson being <br />present assured the council that he would have the rent up to date <br />by Sept. 1, 1950. <br />1st Aast. Fi ro Salary of first assistant Fi re Chief, Harold Imhoff, was next <br />Chief's salary considered. Lindig moved that salary of the first assistant <br />Fire Chief be set at $235.00 per month. Stewart seoonded and <br />motion adopted unanimously. <br />July car allowance Following discussion of car allowances for the Fire Department, <br />Fire Dept.offioers Henry moved that the Village pay the paid officers of the Fire <br />Department 7~ per mile for the uee of their ears on Village <br />business during the month of July. Rekstad seoonded. Carried <br />unanimously. <br />Status of property Stewart reported contacting George Membrez, Clerk of the Village <br />division between of Roseville, as to proposed written agreement on division of <br />Town of Rose and personal property which had been submitted to Roseville for <br />Village of Roseville. signatures. Also reported it was agreed that liembrez would draw <br />up proposed agreement covering division of real property. Stewart <br />stated he would continue to follow up. <br />University lease Van Hoven reported sending X15.00 check to the University, co ver- <br />payment. Recreational ing one-year's payment on lease of lot secured from the University. <br />program. Parking Also mentioned County recreational program meeting newspaper item, <br />lot, Village hall. ,reporting attendance by representatives of all oommunities in the <br />oounty excepting Falcon Heights. Van Hoven also brought up the <br />question of having the County lay out what the Village wants as <br />a Village Hall parking lot.
