Olsen, Addressed the council as to difficulties in Batting cooper- <br />Civilian Defense ation in a local Civilian Defense program. Discussion <br />Supervisor followed as to Fire Chief Swanson taking charge of auxiliary <br />fi remena and Public Safety Chairman Arndt of auxiliary police. <br />Swanson read a letter from sheriff Gibbons referring to a <br />Civilian Defense resolution, urging all fire departments to <br />increase their volunteer firemen. <br /> <br />I <br />Dachtera bill <br />o.k'd for payment. Don Arndt reviewed discussion he had with Police Officer <br />Dachtera relative to letter's bill for poli ce calls Aug. <br />12 and Oct. 8, the bill totaling X42.24, including extra <br />auto insurance premium for policing. On recommendation of <br />Arndt, it was moved by Henry, sec ended by Stewart, that the <br />bill be paid. So ordered. <br />Communications: <br />Letter relative to the Rose Tribune being a legal publication <br />for Ramsey County, was referred to Attorney Graham. <br />Letter from Helen J. Matteson as to election matters. <br />Olsen-Rekstad Attorney Graham reported that it was his opinion the building <br />building permit permit fora double garage to be placed on the boundary of <br />approved. 1790 and 1784 N. Pasaal was authorised if applied for by the <br />owners of both lots, and that he had advised Building Inspector <br />Reichow by letter dated Sept. 28 to this effect, and that the <br />permit has been issued. Henry moved approval of issuance of <br />the permit. Lindig seconded and motion carried by unanimous <br />vote. <br />General Election The matter of appointing the following election officers to <br />3udges and clerks serve at the Gene ral Election, Tuesday, November 7: <br />Judges: <br />Yrs.
