<br />In connection with Mr. Julys request that building inspector be
<br />authorized to issue building permits on Simpson Avenue, between
<br />Ruggles and Roselawn, it was agreed that if the developer did not
<br />put in road before requests for building permits are received,
<br />that a performance bond should be required. Attorney Graham will
<br />check with Crampton to see if the Village has an easement on east
<br />half of Simpson.

<br />prevention code was discussed. Attorney Graham pointed out that
<br />under the present ordinance the Fire Chief has the ri ght to
<br />notify the owner of any building in the Village to correct any
<br />fire hazard the Chief may find.
<br />Also discussed was schedule and allowance for Fire Chief jwanson
<br />and Assistant Chief Imhoff, commencing March 15, 1951, because
<br />oP the third paid fireman vacancy.
<br />Letter from Eckman submitting salary schedule of paid firemen
<br />in nearby communities for consider atiin in connection with
<br />the possible adjustment of Fire Department salaries.
<br />Also letter by Eclonan regarding Bir. R.J. Mitchell, of St Paul,
<br />applicant proposed by Fire Chief Swanson for the Assistant Fire
<br />Chief vacancy.
<br />Letter from County Surveyor as to street work performed during
<br />period Jan. 26 to Feb. 25, 1951, amounting to $352.85 and leaving
<br />an available balance oP $1,909.36 in our 1951 allotment fund.
<br />University Letter from Yar3orie M. Hamlin, Administrative assistant of Schools,
<br />Barracks as to number of children attending school from the University
<br />school Barracks (East Grove) and Thatcher Hall and approximate cost per
<br />attendance child.
<br />Church group Mayor Henry reported receiving request Prom Mrs. Husband, represent-
<br />requeats ing a group from the North Como Presbyterian Church, about using
<br />hall. the Village Hall, March 26, for a business and social meeting.
<br />Rekstad moved that the request be allowed and that a charge of
<br />$10.00 be made for their use of the hall with the understanding
<br />they sweep the place out following their meeting. Seconded by
<br />Lindig and motion carried unanimously.
