~- <br />2 4~~ <br />Spri~l.~ling Letter of June 12, 1951, from Mr. J.S. Garske, was read, requesting <br />System permit permissi®n for a 4" water service for his property at 1570 North <br /> Snelling Drive, with the view of installing a sprinkling system <br /> capable of servicing the ad3acent lot, also owned by Mr. Garske. <br /> Mr. Garske and a representative of the Frank Eha Heating & Plumbing <br /> Company being present, 'they presenir~further details on the proposed <br /> sprinkling system. Shavor then moved that the building inspeotor <br /> be authorized to issue the permit desired. Seconded by Stewart and <br /> mention carried unanimously. <br />Root Beer Application of Nir. Otto R. Walter was again considered and sanitary <br />stand license matters in connection with operating the stand were discussed. <br />Expense Because of inability of the Fire Chief and one volunteer Fireman to <br />oheek attend the State Firemen's Convention, at Cloquet, Minnesota, a <br />refund proposed refund on check No. 939 issued to cover their expenses, was <br /> offered. The proposal asked that X5.50 be allowed for expense in- <br /> curred in reserving a cabin, as follows: <br /> Expense eheok, $75.52 <br /> Less reservation, 5.50 <br /> P ropes ed refund , 70.02 <br /> Acceptance of refund moved iry Henry, seconded by Shavor, and <br /> carried unanimously. <br />Mayor's The matter of the Mayor attending the 37th Annual Convention of <br />expenses, the League of Minnesota Municipalities, at Rochester, Minnesota, <br />Rochester was considered. Shavor moved that the expenses of the Mayor be <br /> allowed for attending the Convention on June 15, 1951. Seconded by <br /> Lindig and carried by a unanimous vote. <br />Dog Bites - Letter of June 7, 1951, from Attorney Graham, relative to Faloon <br />Dry Clean- Heights Dry Cleaners, and with respect to dog bites, was read and <br />ing discussed. <br />Cigarette Application of the Fanners Union Grain Terminal Association to <br />license sell ei garottes at retail in their employees' cafeteria, for a <br />application I2-month period, July 1, 1951 thru June 30, 1952, was presented. <br /> Henry moved approval of the application, seconded by Lindig and <br /> so ordered. <br />Fire Dept. Letters Prom Fire Chief Swanson were read, one dated June 4, 1951, <br />matters. relative to living quarters and compensation of the Chief, and one <br /> of June 11, 1951, regarding Asst. Chief Morse. Henry moved that <br /> the letters be tabled until the next council meeting. Lindig <br /> seconded and motion carried. <br />Treasurer's The Treasurer then presented a Dopy o£ his Yay report to each <br />report. member of the Council, and a discussion in this connection <br /> followed. <br />Ad3ournment: <br />On motion, the meeting ad3ourned at 12:45 A.M., June 13, 1951. <br />d Cl <br />Approve <br />: <br /> c/ <br /> ayor <br />
