J. Coohrane, 1589 Hollywood Court, and a number of other props ~y <br /> owners in Hollywood Court again appeared before the Counoil in con- <br /> nection with maintenance of alleys in their area and correction of <br /> road. Mr. Cochrane presented a blue print showing road work to be <br /> done in Hollywood Court had been approved by Town Board, Town of Rose, <br /> June 17, 1938, approved by Harry Bronson and W.H. Fallon, Chairman <br /> of County Board, June 20 , 1938. Contention is that the work was <br /> never completed so the County will be contacted to see if they will <br /> finish the 3o.b. Also the matter of a street light in Hollywood <br />Street Court was proposed. Property owners from the area, who were presant, <br />light. agreed this should be installed at the extreme west end of the <br /> street in Hollywood Court. Henry so moved, seconded by Lindig <br /> and motion carried by unanimous vote. <br />Root Bear Application of Otto R. Gralter for a license to operate a Root Beer <br />Stand lioense stand at the northwest corner of Larpenteur and Snelling Avenues <br /> was again considered. Stewart moved that said application be <br /> approved, seconded by Rekstad and carried unanimously. <br />Minatitre Golf Application of Jemies D. Holton to operate a Minature Golf Course <br />Course license near Larpenteur and Snelling for period not exceeding six months, <br /> beginning July 1, 1951, was also considered. Rekstad moved approval, <br /> seconded by Lindig, and carried unanimously. <br />Boards for The Fire Chief reported receiving delivery of the new boards for <br />posting notices posting notices. It was agreed to place one on the northwest corner <br /> of Fairview and Larpenteur, and the other in the northeast corner <br /> of the Gibbs School yard at Cleveland and Larpenteur. Lindig will <br /> arrange . <br />Report hydrant On recommendation of the Fire Chief, it was agreed that statement <br />use to Fire be included in building permits that fYre hydrants may not be used <br />Chief for construction purposes unless prior notification is given the <br />Fire Chief. <br />Jumbo nozzle The Fire Chief reported that a 3unior size deluge nozzle had been <br />instead Deluge tried out and that it appeared there was insufficient water in the <br />set main for successful deluge nozzle operation. The Chief reoommended <br />purchase of another Jumbo mystery nozzle instead of a deluge- set. <br />Working Chief Swanson reported that under the new working schedule the <br />Schedule hours of the two paid assistants had been reduced to 56 per week <br />and that the Chief's hours had been increased to 80 per week. <br />U signs, The Fire Chief recommended that two "No U Turn" signs be installed <br />Fire Station in front of the Fire Station.
