2.13 <br />I1 <br />I <br />Barthel Fire Chief Swanson stated that a former volunteer fireman, <br />for paid Kenneth Barthel, had applied for the paid main vacancy on the Fire <br />vacancy Department and that he was considered qualified fbr the position. <br />Said Barthel is a single man and would also become a sleeper. <br />Raincoats, In order to have a full set of personal equipment, Swanson recommended <br />boots, purchase of an additional four raincoats, four pairs of boots and <br />helmeta four helmeta. <br />Voting The Clerk reported that in contacting the Minneapolis Election Bureau <br />Booths re purchasing of voting booths, that they were unable to quote price <br />at this time, but offered to loan booths to the village when needed. <br />Trash Needed for the Larpenteur-Snelling business area were again discussed. <br />Cans Rekstad moved that four Solar System waste disposal cans, ~DYIt 130,16 <br />~ 26g x 34-3~8, at X22.40 each, be pu rehased. Seconded by Stewart <br />and carried by unanimous vote. <br />Claim The c1 erk called attention to an item under new state legislation, <br />forms in the May, 1951 issue of Mirsnesota Municipalities magazine, as <br />Follows: "Requiring taoat claims be verified is supplanted by a <br />requirement that a declaration be made under penalties of per3ury <br />but vrithout the use of an oath."
