~1a7 <br />Helmets, The clerk reported lowest bid on purchase of 4 firemen's rubber coats, <br />rubber 4 pair firemen's boots and 4 helmets was X165.00, received from the <br />coats & U.S. Rubber Company, and that order had been placed with lowest bidder <br />boots. as authorized by the Council. <br />Ramsey County Letter from the Ramsey County Surveyors Association was read, relative <br />Surveyor's to meeting with our Planning Commission to discuss platting problems. <br />Association Henry moved referral of the letter to our Planning Commission. <br />Seconded by Shavor and carried. <br />D.A. Nelson Discussion was held with D. ~. Nelson, of the D.A. Nelson Construction <br />Construction, Company, relat ive to construction of three two-Pamily bungalows on <br />Inc. - 3 - Arona between Idaho and Larpenteur. Graham, Attorney <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. for the purpose of <br />discussing Fire Department matters with Fire Chine Swanson and with Andrew <br />Hustrulid, Chairman, and Gordon Nelson of the Fire Department Committee. <br />Fire Chief Swnnson's letters of May 5 and June 4, 1951, were <br />read with reference to wage ad3ustments and to furnishing the Fire Chief, as part <br />of his compensntion, living quarters fully electrified. <br />After considerable discussion, Stewart moved that the question <br />of the Fire Chief's salary be referred to the Firo Departanent Committee for con- <br />sideration from the standpoint of what the latest Fire Department salary figures <br />are in comparable communities, the rental value of his apartment, or anything <br />that may be worth while in helping the Council to reach a proper decision. <br />Seeonied by Henry and carried unanimously. <br />Ad3ournmen't - On motion, the meeting adjourned at 9:53 P.M. <br />Approved - ,+o~~..-dL~_~ --_------- - .._ <br />Ac+~ f Mayor '~- r <br />
