<br />Meeting called to order at 7:45 P.M. and minutes of November 13, 1951
<br />meeting heard and approved as read.
<br />Rees post Carl Keller, of Keller Corporation, presented proposal of Douglas
<br />office Rees to construct and lease to the United States Post Office
<br />proposal Department for branch post office purposes a room, 28x100, in a
<br />new building to be construoted on Lots 4 and ~, Keller rearrange-
<br />. went of Block 10, Falcon Heigh is Addition. It was agreed to
<br />refer the proposal to the Planning Commission for study and
<br />recommendation.
<br />Bills: On motion by Rekstad, seconded by Lindig, the Following bills were
<br />ordered paid.
<br />Roofings, Ina., November &c final payment on repairing
<br />roof, Village Hall & Fire Station, X238.00
<br />Northwestern Bell Eelephone Company, Ne 5200, Nov. 10th, X9.05
<br />The Inter City Printing Co., 250 sets water permits, $8.60
<br />Trash In connection with the four trash cans for the business area, Mr.
<br />Cans Winfrey's letter of November 26, 1951, wsa read, stating that the
<br />business men at Larpenteur and Snelling, will arrange to dispose
<br />of trash in the cans to be placed in their area. The clerk reported
<br />recei wing similar assurance from Bob Blomberg relating to trash
<br />can to be placed near the Blomberg Store.
<br />Water Relative to agreement between the Farmers Union Grain Terminal
<br />Agreement Association and the Village, relating to water extension from GTA
<br />property to the Village Hall, Lindig moved that renewal of the
<br />agreement be executed by the Mayor and Clerk. Seconded by Rekstad
<br />and carried unanimously.
<br />Audit The Clerk reported on his discussion with the Public Examiner's
<br />offYce regarding proposed audit of the Village books. Also read
<br />letter of November 26th from McLaughlin, Mullenmaster, May Company,
<br />accountants and auditors, '929 Northwestern Bank Building, Minneapolis.
<br />After discussion, it was agreed to postpone having an audit at this
<br />time, since the Village follows a policy of publishing annually a
<br />financial statement pxepared by the Public Examiner's office and
<br />because no provision was made to 'bhwe:3958e2~ndg~t to cover the cost
<br />of an audit.
<br />Christmas Application of Edward Babinski, 2926 Buchanan, Minneapolis, to
<br />tree lot operate a Christmas tree lot, from December 1, 1951 to January 1,
<br />application 1952, on the Hermes property at 1581 Aest Larpenteur, was considered.
<br />On motion by Henry, seconded by Lindig, approval of the application
<br />was voted unanimously.
<br />File The Clerk reported on his Head for an additional 4-drawer legal sire
<br />case file case, stating that a good used case of this type could be had
<br />
