~~ <br />1 <br />[] <br />1 <br />Heating: Rekstad reported on recommendation received from the heating <br />engineer as to the proposed heating plant improvement for the <br />Village Hall. <br />Hollywood Treasurer Van Hoven reported that Hollywood Cou rt residents <br />Ct. alleys had arranged to have their alleys repaired by the County at <br />their own expense. A bill, dated October ?, 1952, from the <br />County Surveyor's office,i:in the amount of X137.39 had been <br />referred to the residents. A Falcon Heights State Hank money <br />order, No. 30455, from Donald Nelson, for Hollywood Court <br />improvements , to the Ramsey County treasurer, dated Uctober <br />28, 1952, for X137.39, had been received and will be trans- <br />mitted to the County as payment in full for this work. <br />Arona Avenue Shavor reported that the grade plan for extension of Arona <br />Extension avenue between Ruggles and Roselawn was examined and the <br />site inspected by Henry, Rekstad, Shavor and Williams, the <br />latter represent~~hga~he Planning Commission. It was agreed <br />that the plan was satisfactory. Shavor then moved that the <br />plan be approved, and that the Street Commissioner be <br />authorized to place order for staking Arond From Ruggles <br />. to Roselawn, with the understanding that dir. Juhl will bear <br />the expense of the surfacing and also the expense of re- <br />locating two culverts across Ruggles when the street is <br />graded. Seconded by Stewart and carried unanimously. <br />Speed limits,on County Auditor's letter of October 16 relating to advice <br />Cleveland,on from the State Highway Department that it was determined <br />Larpenteur after completing a traffic survey that the proper speed <br />limit on Cleveland between Ruggles and Roselawn is 50 miles <br />per hour. The clerk was instructed to ask the County to <br />place proper speed limit signs on Cleveland to avoid mis- <br />understanding of the speed limit. Also to request the <br />County to place proper speed limit signs on Larpenteur <br />between Fulham and Cleveland going east, with notification <br />of both speed limit requests to Don Arndt. <br />Univ. Grove East The clerk reported on matters connected with request of <br />Skating rink the University Grove East association for flooding their <br />skating rink. After discuss ion, Shavor moved that the <br />clerk be requested to write a letter to the University <br />Grove East Association, advising them that the Village will <br />loan their Association t3~e hose for flooding their rink <br />under conditions to be worked out by the Fire Department <br />committee. Seconded by Henry and carried unanimously. <br />Snow plowing, Stewart moved, seconded b,T Fienry, that the street commissioner <br />1952-53 inform the County as to snow plowing routes for the season <br />of 1952 and 1953. Lotion carried. <br />Bldgs. & equipment Letter from Attorney Graham re listing on personal property <br />State Fair Grounds roils of such buildings and equipment used in business in <br />Falcon Heists. <br />~iholesale sales Letter from Attorney Graham as to wholesaler of beer <br />Beer, Fair Grounds to dealers at State r'air being required to take out a <br />license. <br />
