<br />Insurance The two invoices received from the Mutual Service Casualty
<br />Policies Insurance Co., covering renewal of policies with them, were
<br />held over for action until the next meeting on January 13, 1953.
<br />The policies were ref erred to Clyde Stewart, Clerk, for checking
<br />to insure that there is no duplication in this coverage.
<br />Dry Wells Trustee Rekstad reported that he had arranged for completion
<br />Village of the dry wells on the village 'property at Idaho and Snelling
<br />Property Drive, the work to be finished by January 5, 1953.
<br />Commends Trustee Rekstad commended the Fire Department for their
<br />Fire splendid cooperation in flooding the rink~d on the village
<br />Dept. property at Idaho and Snelling Drive. The council instructed
<br />the clerk to inform the Fire Protection Committee by letter
<br />of said splendid cooperation.
<br />General The clerk was instructed by the council to write to the
<br />Outdoor General Outdoor Advertising Co. advising_the~m that their signs
<br />Adv. Co. at the southwest corner of Larpenteur and Pascal must be
<br />removed by May 1, 1953. ~ ~*.
<br />Firemen .The fire Protection Committee report of December 13, 1952
<br />Salaries was read, in which the committee recommended a ~ 15.00 per
<br />month increase for Mr. Locke and Mr. Barthel. Trustee Rekstad
<br />moved, seconded by Henry,. to concur with the Fire Protection
<br />Committee recommendation and that the salaries of Mr. Locke
<br />and Mr. Barthel be increased ~ 15.00 per month effective
<br />January 1, 1953, and that a similar increase of ~ 1.5.00 per
<br />month be paid to the Fire Chief, also to be effective Jan. 1,
<br />1953. Notion passed unanimously.
<br />Douglas Treasurer Van Hoven read a letter addressed to the Village
<br />Recta Council from Mr. Douglas Rees dated October 27, 1952, but
<br />setback received in an envelope postmarked December 10,.1952, req-
<br />request nesting special consideration regarding setback requirements
<br />as to Lots 4 and 5, Kelley's rearrangement of Block 10,
<br />Falcon.Heights Addition, Ramsey County, Minnesota. Trustee
<br />Reka~tad moved, aeaonded by Henry, that in accord with
<br />Ordinance 16 this matter be ref erred to the Planning Commission.

<br />Oct. Tax Treasurer Van HoTen reported receipt of the Oct. Taz Settlement
<br />Settleaaentin the amount of ~ 11, 706.86 oa .December 22, 1952 from the
<br />Ramsey County Auditor.
