4 ~, <br />~~ t <br />1 <br />Fire Inspections Recommendation concurred in by X11 members of the Fire <br />Lauderdale Department committee that the Village of Lauderdale <br />make their own fire inspections, provided they furnish <br />#i[~q~t~ai[ the information needed by our Fire Department <br />to protect our personnel and equipment. Henry then moved <br />concurrence with the Fire Department committee's recommen- <br />dation and that the Village of Lauderdale be requested by <br />the clerk to make its own inspections, beginning December 1, <br />1953, and to furnish our Fire Department with information <br />as stated in the committee's recommendation. Lindig seconded <br />and mo+.,ion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />1 <br />Alley repair Letter of Oct. 27 from Mr. Douglas Rees and. letter of <br />back of November !~, 1953, from his attorney, ?dr. John G. Bouthilet, <br />Dry Cleaners in regard to repair of alley behind the dry cleaners. <br />After discussion, the clerk was requested to write i~r. <br />Aouthilet that in the past troublesome conditions in this <br />alley have been behind the dry cleaners, and if the Village <br />is forced to make alley repairs on an assessment basis <br />tha+„ substantially all of the assessment would be against <br />the business property. <br />Tax levy acknowledged <br />by County The clerk read. County Auditor's letter of Octot-er 28, <br />acknowledging the Falcon Heights levy in the to~Al amount <br />of l~19,385.00 plus a 1/2 mill levy for Firemen's Relief <br />Association, stating that to the above amounts will be <br />added a levy for the retirement of principal and interest <br />on debt of $5,700.00 in accordance with tax levy for debt <br />purposes on file in the County Auditor's office. <br />Fire run Papers relating to a bill of $22.00 against Mr. J. C. <br />charged to Scherbel, 338 West Robie Street, St Paul, covering volunteer <br />J.C. Scherbel firemen's services in connection with a fire run to <br />Scherbel's auto, way referred to the Villa ge Attorney. <br />Voting place and On motion by Stewart, seconded. by Lindig, the following <br />hours designated resolution was adopted by a unanimous vote: <br />R e s o l u t i o n- <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Villageof <br />Falcon Heights, in accordance with Sec. 205.25, 4~.S.A., that <br />for the Annual Village Election, December 8, 1953, one voting <br />place, the Village Hall, 16t~t~ Larpen+~eur Avenue hest, be and <br />it hereby is designa+ed for both Village election districts; <br />namely, for election district No. 1, that portion of the <br />Village located west of the center line of Snelling Avenue, <br />and for election district No. 2, that portion of the Village <br />lying east of the center line of Snelling Avenue. <br />%mas tree lot <br />license,N.L.Hermes Application from N.
