Amusement Attorney Graham reported on request of the Minnesota Amusement <br />Company request Company for permission to construct a building on the south- <br />building permit east corner of Larpe#teur and Snelling, and that he suggested <br />they discuss the matter with the council. <br />Trustee Lodahl Because of plans for making his home in California, Trustee <br />resigns Lodahl offered his resignation from the council to be <br />effective as of November 15, 1953• On motion by Lindig, <br />seconded by Shavor, it was voted unanimously to accept <br />the resignation. <br />Adjournment: On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11:10 P. Graham, Attorney <br />Meeting called to order at 7:It0 P.M., and minutes of November 10, 1953, <br />meeting were heard and approved as read. <br />Fire ~ Trus+ee J. Langenberger, of 'the Village of Lauderdale, <br />Inspebtibns, and our Fire Chief Swanson appeared before the council in <br /> Lauderdale - connection with Falcon Heights request on Lauderdale to <br /> make their own fire inspections, Trustee Langenberger <br /> stating that in his opinion such inspections should be <br /> performed by the Falcon Heights Fire Department. Witten <br /> recommendation of the Fire Department cod <br />~~t~ee wasp read, <br /> r <br />stating that a meeting of the committe wl h a~1'i$embers <br /> and the Fire Chief present, and that it was agreeable with <br /> all present that Lauderdale make their own inspections <br /> provided they furnish the information needed. to protect our <br /> personnel and equipment, also that the committee recommended <br /> that the plan be put into effect. ,,,,a, The Clerk ~ s letter <br /> of November 11th to Lauderdale~a~vising that the council had <br /> voted to ask. the Village of Lauderdale to make its own <br /> inspections beginning December 1, 1953 and to furnish our <br /> Fire Department with the required information. Also read <br /> was letter from the Village Glerk of Lauderdale, stating <br /> that our letter re fire inspections was being turned over <br /> to J. Langenberger, Village Fire Inspector, who would contact <br /> our Fire Chief. After some discussion as to standby contracts <br /> not providing for inspections, Mr. Langenberger agreed to refer <br /> the matter back to the Lauderdale council. <br />
