<br />Cigarette Application of Michael Hadreas, together with check for X5.00
<br />license, covering pro rated license fee thru June 30, 195., for license
<br />Flameburger to sell cigarettes at retail at the Flameburgex, 1533 ~'~est
<br />Larpenteur, was considered. On motion by Cartwright, seconded
<br />by Hustrulid, it was voted unanimously to approve the application.
<br />Fire Dept. On motion by I'_ustrulid, seconded by Cartwright, i±. was voted
<br />Regn. #27 to approve Fire Departmen+., requisition No. 27.
<br />Clerks was ordered approved on motion by Cartwright, seconded by
<br />Regn. #25 Hustrulid.
<br />Proposed Bldg., Joseph Cohen and his attorneys, Kaplan, Edelman and Kaplan,
<br />SE corner, presented tentative plans for a proposed building, about 80x
<br />Larpenteur R. 300 feet, to be erected on the southeast. corner of Larpenteur
<br />Snelling and Snelling. The blue print showed the building would
<br /> accommodate a drug store, a women's apparel shop, a bootery,
<br /> super market and restaurant, with an off-street customer
<br /> parking area of about 111~x3b0 ft. D.gatters pertaining to the
<br /> present curb cut which would be in front of the proposed.
<br /> building, and to the 20-foot area in the rear of the property
<br /> reserved as a passage ;,ray, were discussed with t.,he council.
<br /> Pair. t.F. Stepnitz, representing Associated Invescbors, Tnc,,
<br /> also spoke or. the curb cut and proposed parking arrangements.
<br /> It was ap;reed that final plans would be submitted to the council
<br /> after the owners of the business properties concerned work out
<br /> arrangements for the flow of traffic so as to provide parking
<br /> facilities both in front of the properties and in the rear.

<br />Ordinance for stations in the Twin Cities area, and H. `". "'t?isman, of the
<br />licensing Minnesota Petroleum Industries committee, appeased before the
<br />filling stns. council regarding the proposed ordinancefoY` lieenang gasoline
<br /> stations. In answer to Nor. ~'.hisman's question as to why the
<br /> ordinance had been proposed, Attorney Graham said. this had
<br /> been done at the request of the council, and. he then summarized
<br /> provisions of the proposed ordinance. '~~r. hhisman stated that
<br /> his organization is interested in regulation of the industry
