Stenzinger, P,4ayor; George J. <br />Shavor, Trustee; Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee; David P. Cartwright, Trustee; Clyde J. <br />Stewart, Clerk. Also present, Y~illiam E. Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham, <br />Attorney. <br />Farmers Union Attorney Graham reported that this was a special meeting of the <br />Grain Terminal council called to consider the petitions of the Farmers Union <br />Assn. Rezoning Grain Terminal Association, dated P~Iay 3, 1954, and 1~?ay 12, 195, <br />Request requesting that the following described property be rezoned <br />from "Farm Residence District" to "Business District" for auto- <br />mobile parking purposes only, under Sec. 12(e) of Zoning Ordinance <br />No. 8: <br />Property The Southerly 217 feet of the East 250 feet of the <br />-- North 500 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/!t <br />of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 21, Township 29, Range <br />23, West of the Fourth Principal r~teridian according to <br />the United States Government survey thereof and the plats <br />on file in the office of the Register of Deeds, Ramsey <br />County, Minnesota. <br />Petitions Attorney Graham stated that he had checked the petitions <br />checked and had reported to the Clerk they were properly signed by <br />more than 50 per cent by number of the property owners with- <br />in 500 feet of the property sought to be rezoned. The council, <br />at its May 26, 1954 meeting, had set a hearing on said petitions <br />for Tuesday, June 8, 1954, at 7:30 P. M., at the Village Hall, <br />and notice of the public hearing had been duly posted by the <br />Clerk on May 27, 1954, as shown by his affidavit on file. <br />Rezoning <br />approved The Mayor then called for discussion on the petitions. No one <br />appeared in opposition thereto. After some discussion of the <br />purpose of rezoning the property, Stenzinger moved that the <br />rezoning request of the Farmers Union Grain Terminal Association <br />be approved. Cartwright seconded and motion carried unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE IvT0.29 Stenzinger read and moved adoption of Ordinance No. 29, "AN <br />ORDINANCE At~4~ENDING 1EE ZONIPJG MAP WFICH IS A PART OF ORDINANCE <br />N0. 8." The :ration was seconded by Cartwright, and after <br />discussion, the following vote was taken and recorded: <br />Adjournment: <br />Approved: <br />Ayes: Stenzinger, Shavor, Hustrulid~~ Cartwright, Stewart <br />Nays: None <br />Thereupon, r.4ayor Stenzinger declared Ordinance Nqr 29 duly adopted <br />and ordered publication of same, <br />On motion the meeting adjourned at 8:00 P.M, <br />
