~3s REGULAR METING, REDNESDAY, DEC~IIBER 22, 195l~ (Minutes recorded by Frank N. Graham) The meeting was called to order at 7:45 P.P~i., wi th roll call recording the following council members present: Robert E. Stenzinger, Mayor; Andrew ??ustrulid, Trustee, and David P. Cartwright, Trustee. Absent: George J. Shavor, Trustee, and Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Also present: '~~illiam E. Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham, Attorney. Minutes of the regular meeting held December 8, 195~t, and of the canvassing board meeting held on the same date were heard and approved as read. Bills: On motion by Cartwright, seconded by Stenzinger, the following bills were ordered paid: Earl Smith, policing & mileage to Dec. 18, ?k17.15 Henry Dachtera, rr !- rr -r n n 72.21 Brady-~4argulis Co., ring binder 2.95 Badenrs Pure Oil Service 3.90 Ramsey County, street work 10-26 to 11-25 327.07 (after deducting ~I~00.00 to be paid by Douglas Rees, and $100.00 to be paid by Northern States Power Company on cost of improving alley behind business property north of Larpenteur avenue). Purchase Requisition Purchase requisition No. 45, dated December 15, 195t~, from the No. 1.t5 Fire Department, was approved with the addition of 6-21~ inch steel blade snow pushers and two large push brooms to be used on the skating rinks. Cartwright was authorized to purchase the latter two items for use on the skating rinks as soon as possible, at the suggestion of Joe Sanderson, 1753 Holton, who stated these items were needed in connection with the flooding and maintenance of the rinks. Hartfiel V4. A. Hartfiel~':and others were in the council chambers and stated Rezoning that they had reached. an agreement with respect to the rezoning petition hearing which had been continued until 8:30 F.M., December 22, 195lt. Pdr. Hartfiel was advised that since there were only three council members present at the meeting, the council could not take action and the hearing on his petition was further continued to the next regular meeting of the council at 7:30 P.P,S., VTednesday, January 12, 1955• On motion of Stenzin~?er, seconded by Hustrulid, it was voted. unanimously to approve said further continuance of the hearing. ~"tarming Joe Sanderson. stated that a warming hut. was needed for a skating Huts rink and that it might be desirable for the Village to check into • the sale of Quonset huts by the City of St Paul. The Mayor and Mr. Sanderson will check and report back to the council.
