el~C <br />Newspaper wires Stewart reported on the handling of a complaint by Public <br />at National Tea Safety Supervisor Don Arndt in connection with a pedestrian <br />corner tripping hazard caused by wires from newspaper bundles , <br />dropped off at the National Tea store corner. Arndt reported <br /> he found a rusted barrel at the corner chuck full of wires <br /> and trash. At his request, the State Highway department <br /> donated a new metal barrel, delivered it and carted away <br /> contents of the old barrel, all at no cost to the Village. <br /> Arndt recommended that the St Paul Dispatch circulation <br /> department be notified to instruct their carriers to deposit <br /> wire and old paper wrappings in the new barrel. Stenzinger <br /> moved that the Clerk write letters on the matter to the <br /> Circulation managers of The St Paul Dispatch and The <br /> Minneapolis Star. Seconded by Hustrulid and motion carried. <br />Meeting extended. It being 11 P.M., Cartwright moved that the meeting be <br /> extended in order to complete unfinished business. Seconded <br /> by Hustrulid and so ordered. <br />Ordinance No. alt - The matter of a proposed amendment to the zoning plan, <br /> providing that no building permit or special permit shall <br />Off street be issued by the council until the applicant has satisfied <br />parking the council that adequate parking facilities will be avail- <br /> able, was discussed. The proposed ordinance was read. <br /> Cartwright then moved adoption of ORDINANCE.NO. alt, AN <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 8 ENTITLED " AN ORDINANCE <br /> PROVIDING A ZONING PLAN FOR THE VILLAGE OF FALCON HE;IGHTS." <br /> Seconded by Hustrulid and the following vote taken and <br /> recorded: <br />Ayes: Stenzinger, Shavor, Hustrulid, Cartwright, Stewart <br />Nays: None. <br />The Mayor declared Ordinance No. 31t adopted by a unanimous <br />vote and ordered publication of same. <br />Tree Trimming After discussion, Stenzinger moved that our attorney be <br />directed to draft a proposed ordinance covering tree <br />trimming for consideration at our June 22, 195 meeting. <br />Seconded by Cartwright and motion carried unanimously. <br />Juvenile matters In connection with the expressed willingness of Mr. Troje, <br />Assistant Probation Officer, and Mr. McCourt, Clerk of the <br />Juvenile Court, to discuss operation of the Juvenile Court <br />with Village representatives, the Village Attorney was <br />asked to write Public Safety Commission Chairman Sid <br />Bumgardner about the Commission holding an informal meeting <br />with Messrs. Troje and McCourt with the idea of inv~~ing <br />members of the council who wished to attend. <br />Village map The matter of having our Village Engineer include additional <br />information on our Villa ge street map was discussed. It <br />was agreed that Trustee Shavor should discuss this with <br />Village Engineer Carley. <br />Adjournment: On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11:25 F.M. <br />App <br />
