~ e~ 7 <br /> <br />Hal Newell It was reported that a letter written to Hal Newell requesting <br />equipment the return of Village-owned Fire Department equipment in his <br /> possession, had not been complied with. After discussion, <br /> Utecht moved that the Public .Safety Supervisor be instructed <br /> to ask Officer Kenneth Schmidt of the Sheriff's force to call <br /> on qtr. Newell and ask for the return of the rain coat, boots, <br /> :-:helmet and any other fire department equipment belonging to <br /> the Village of Falcon Heights, as previously requested in the <br /> Clerk's letter of October 27, 1956. Seconded by Stewart and <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br />Alley oiling- In connection with payment due the Village for oiling of the <br />Seaborn alley opening on Albert and Pascal between Idaho and Iowa <br />.~ - avenues; Trustee Nilsen turned over to the Village Treasurer <br /> X29.00 received from G.S. Seszborn to apply on this account, <br /> leaving a balance of l6t~2.3b. Seaborn's request that the <br /> Village consider maintaining this alley was also discussed. <br /> Utecht moved that the Village Engineer be requested to inspect <br />'' the alley to see if it meets improved alley standards for such <br /> maintenance and to report back to the council. Seconded by <br /> Nilsen and motion carried unanimously. <br />~ Associated In- Shavor reported he had contacted Mr. Stepnitz further <br />vestors' vacant regarding requirements to be met by owners of the property. <br />property Shavor said he was informed more dirt had been moved in, <br /> that catch basin was put in, sign would be installed, etc. <br />Voting The Clerk reported that Roseville had loaned us five used <br />booths voting booths for use in Election district No. 3 at the <br /> General Election, that these are needed by the Village and <br />', requested authority to purchase same. Cartwright moved <br /> that the Clerk be authorized to purchase the five voting <br /> boti]Oha at a price which he cons id era reasonable. Seconded <br /> by IItecht and motion carried unanimously. <br />Tree Trimming. Trustee Nilsen reported further on tree trimming costa furnished <br /> by Yr. Schultz, St Paul tree trimmer. He said Mr. Schultz <br /> estimated it would cost about X2,000 to trim the 400 boulevard <br /> tress in the Northome area. As i~o costa pday; he estimated <br /> ~tt0 per day for a crew of three men, plus .-for equipment. <br /> Trustee Nilsen was asked to see Mr. Parker Anderson about <br /> superviaixig the work on a fee basis. <br />Dead animals Arrangements for picking up dead animals when reported <br /> were discussed. <br />Hearing- proposed Utecht introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />Sanitary Sewer adoption.
