~~5ti <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO <br />BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPA- <br />RATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSbSENT <br />WHEREAS, Contracts have been entered into for the construction of <br />Sanitary Sewer System Improvement No. 1 at a contract price of X692,858.65 and <br />additional expenses of ~207,1ta1..35, covering the St Paul connection charge, <br />engineering, inspection, legal costs and contingencies, have been or will be <br />incurred in connection with the improvement, making a total cost for Sanitary <br />Sewer System Improvement No. 1 of X900,000, and of this cost, the Village will <br />pay X280,000 as its share of the cost and X620,000 will be specially assessed <br />against the property benefited thereby. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village <br />of Falcon Heights, Minnesota: <br />1. The cost of Sani ary Sewer System Improvement No. 1 to be <br />specially assess~is hereby declared to be X620,000. <br />2. The Village Clerk, with the assistance of Mr. L3ungren, <br />Village Engineer, and the Village Attorney shall forthwith <br />calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for <br />such improvement against every assessable lot, piece, or <br />parcel of land within the district affected, without <br />regard to cash valuation as provided by law. <br />3. The Village Clerk shall, upon the completion of such <br />proposed assessment, notify the Village Council thereof. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly <br />seconded by Mayor Utecht, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: William R. Utecht, George J. Shavor, Harold C. Nilsen, Willis <br />. Warkentien, and Clyde J. Stewart' <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br />whereupon said Resolution was duly passed and adopted. <br />Police Car After some discussion of the police car accidBnt, the Village <br />Accident Attorney was directed to write to Barbara J. Cloutier and <br />Cortland L. Cloutier, making demand upon them for the cost of <br />repairing the police car in the total amour:t of ~l.t7.1~.70. <br />Sewer Contractor <br />on Northome <br />Shopping Center <br />land <br />R~4~ ~~. <br />4; ~ r <br />:~. Ay <br />!" }y / .~. <br />~M~` <br />Ti.: <br />~~~.~. . <br />~:fY ~Y' rr,i~ <br />Letter was read from the Northome Shopping Center, Inc., by <br />D.O, Julen, regarding the sewer contractor driving machines <br />over the property owned by the Northome Shopping Center, Inc. <br />located west of Arona between Idaho and Larpenteur Avenues. <br />After discussion, Shavor moved that the Clerk be instructed to <br />write Per. Julen that the complaint had been referred to the <br />contractor, and that under the Village's contract with him, <br />the contractor is required to work on public property or make <br />special arrangements if he must go on private property and be <br />responsible therefor. Seconded by Stewart and motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
