J~ <br />REGULAR MEETING, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1957 <br />Meeting called to order at 7:x+0 P.M., the following council members <br />being present: William R. Utecht, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; <br />Harold C. Nilsen, Trustee; Willis Warkentien, Trustee. Also present: <br />William E. Olsen, Treasurer; Ethel E. White, Assistant Clerk, and Frank <br />N. Graham, Attorney. Absent: Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. In the absence <br />of Mr. Stewart, Mr. Graham took the minutes of the meeting. <br />The minutes of the December 5, 1957 meeting and the canvassing board <br />meeting of the same date, were ordered approved as submitted. <br />Harold C. Nilsen, Harold C. Nilsen submitted his written resigna- <br />Resignation as.Tru~~ee tion dated December 19, 1957 to become effective <br />as of 12:00 midnight, December 31, 1957. After <br />discussion, Utecht moved that the resignation of <br />Harold C. Nilsen as trustee, be accepted to become <br />effective at 12:00 midnight, December 31, 1957. <br />Seconded by Warkentien and motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br />1 <br />Muske building permit - A letter of William H.'Muske Co., Minnesota building, <br />SW corner of Larp. Ave. St. Paul, dated December 18, 1957, inquiring whether <br />and Pascal. a single family residence could be erected on a <br />50 foot lot, the Southwest Corner of Larpenteur <br />Avenue and North Pascal Street, presently owned <br />by Mary Ann Trantenella, was read. This property <br />is the East 50 feet of Lot 7, Block 13, North- <br />ome 3rd Addition and the ownership of Lot 7 had <br />been split of record prior to August, 1946. <br />Mr. Graham advised the Council that in his opin- <br />ion this situation came within the exception <br />to Section 5F8 of Ordinance #3. After discussion <br />upon motion by Utecht, seconded by Nilsen and <br />unanimously approved, Mr. Graham was directed to <br />advise the Muske company that a permit for the <br />erection of a single family residence on this <br />lot would be issued upon application. <br />Street Lighting Bill A letter of Harry 5. Bronson, County Engineer, <br />dated December 4, 1957, relating to Village's <br />share of street lighting costs on County roads <br />was read and ordered filed. A copy of Mr. Bron- <br />son's letter dated November 14, 1957, reporting <br />that the street light at Larpenteur Avenue and <br />Fry Street had been moved in accordance with the <br />Village's request was read and ordered filed. <br />Barthel Villas A letter from James F. Greenstein asking to be <br />drainage matter advised of action taken in connection with the, <br />low lots at Barthel Villas was read and ordered <br />filed. Mr. Graham was directed to write Mr. <br />Greenstein and advise him that the council had <br />ordered the engineer to make a drainage survey <br />of this area of the Village and that the council <br /> <br />
