J~ REGULAR MEETING, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1957 Meeting called to order at 7:x+0 P.M., the following council members being present: William R. Utecht, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Harold C. Nilsen, Trustee; Willis Warkentien, Trustee. Also present: William E. Olsen, Treasurer; Ethel E. White, Assistant Clerk, and Frank N. Graham, Attorney. Absent: Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. In the absence of Mr. Stewart, Mr. Graham took the minutes of the meeting. The minutes of the December 5, 1957 meeting and the canvassing board meeting of the same date, were ordered approved as submitted. Harold C. Nilsen, Harold C. Nilsen submitted his written resigna- Resignation as.Tru~~ee tion dated December 19, 1957 to become effective as of 12:00 midnight, December 31, 1957. After discussion, Utecht moved that the resignation of Harold C. Nilsen as trustee, be accepted to become effective at 12:00 midnight, December 31, 1957. Seconded by Warkentien and motion carried unani- mously. 1 Muske building permit - A letter of William H.'Muske Co., Minnesota building, SW corner of Larp. Ave. St. Paul, dated December 18, 1957, inquiring whether and Pascal. a single family residence could be erected on a 50 foot lot, the Southwest Corner of Larpenteur Avenue and North Pascal Street, presently owned by Mary Ann Trantenella, was read. This property is the East 50 feet of Lot 7, Block 13, North- ome 3rd Addition and the ownership of Lot 7 had been split of record prior to August, 1946. Mr. Graham advised the Council that in his opin- ion this situation came within the exception to Section 5F8 of Ordinance #3. After discussion upon motion by Utecht, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously approved, Mr. Graham was directed to advise the Muske company that a permit for the erection of a single family residence on this lot would be issued upon application. Street Lighting Bill A letter of Harry 5. Bronson, County Engineer, dated December 4, 1957, relating to Village's share of street lighting costs on County roads was read and ordered filed. A copy of Mr. Bron- son's letter dated November 14, 1957, reporting that the street light at Larpenteur Avenue and Fry Street had been moved in accordance with the Village's request was read and ordered filed. Barthel Villas A letter from James F. Greenstein asking to be drainage matter advised of action taken in connection with the, low lots at Barthel Villas was read and ordered filed. Mr. Graham was directed to write Mr. Greenstein and advise him that the council had ordered the engineer to make a drainage survey of this area of the Village and that the council
