Reporting <br />^ Many incidents of domestic violence ~'~ <br />are not reported by the victims, who <br />oken fear retaliation, ostracism, and <br />humiliation by the abuser, family, <br />friends, and the community. <br />i. Victim cooperation <br />^ Those victims who do report the crime <br />to police may recant or after their ~ ,,,nab <br />version of events, oken in an ekort to <br />reconale with the abuser. <br />Domestic Assaults in Falcon Heights <br />e This year, two domestic assaults (one <br />misdemeanor and one gross <br />misdemeanor) have been prosecuted in <br />Falcon Heights. <br />^ Both cases resulted in guilty pleas to the <br />domestic assault charge. <br />Our Goals <br />,. To work closely with the St. <br />Anthony Police Department to <br />ensure that reported instances <br />of domestic violence are <br />prosecuted; <br />i. To work closely with the victim <br />advocates for Falcon Heights at <br />Tubman Family Alliance; and <br />3.
