CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 04-02 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE <br />FALCON HEIGHTS CITY CODE <br />CONCERNING COURTESY BENCHES <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF FALCON HEIGHTS ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 3, Section 6 of the Falcon Heights City Code is amended to read: <br />3-6.03 Courtesy benches. <br />A. Definition. A courtesy bench is a bench provided for the public to wait for regularly <br />scheduled public transportation. <br />B. Location. <br />• 1. Courtesy benches shall be located along regularly scheduled public transportation routes. <br />2. No courtesy bench may be placed within five hundred feet of any other bench or within <br />fifteen feet of an existing transit shelter of any kind located within a right of way. <br />3. Courtesy benches may be located on public rights of way or on public property if the <br />public right of way or public property is zoned commercial or business property (B-1, B-2 and <br />B-3 zoning districts). ' <br />4. Courtesy benches may be located on private property within commercial or business <br />property (B-1, B-2 and B-3 zoning districts) if permission is obtained from the owner of the <br />land. <br />5. Courtesy benches shall be allowed as a conditional use in zoning districts R-3 and R-4. <br />6. Courtesy benches shall not be located in zoning districts R-1, and R-2. <br />C. License Required. Courtesy benches must be licensed as provided by this section. <br />C <br />
