• <br />• <br />• <br />POLICY H3 <br />7/14/04 <br />ITEM: Consideration of a welcome packet for new residents <br />SUBMITTED BY: Mayor Sue Gehrz <br />REVIEWED BY: Heather Worthington, City Administrator <br />EXPLANATION: <br />Summary: With the projected opening of the new Senior Apartments in early September, the <br />city will need to distribute new resident information to the tenants. There is also an opportunity <br />to promote our business community. <br />We would like to solicit coupons and other information from the business community for <br />inclusion in this "welcome packet" for new residents on the SE Corner, and any new residents to <br />the community who purchase single-family homes, as well. The city could provide the <br />envelopes and put together the packets, while the business community would provide enough <br />copies of their material for 200 packets. In addition, the city would put relevant city information, <br />such as our new resident booklet. <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />• Authorize Mayor and City Administrator to send a letter to all licensed businesses in <br />Falcon Heights requesting material fora "welcome packet" for new residents. <br />34 <br />
