• POLICY H2 <br />8/11/04 <br />ITEM: Repainting City streetlights along Larpenteur Avenue <br />SUBMITTED BY: Heather Worthington, City Administrator <br />Dave Tretsven, Senior Public Works Maintenance Worker <br />EXPLANATION: <br />Summary: The decorative streetlights along Larpenteur Avenue are in need of repainting. In <br />the 2004 capital budget, the city council allocated $7,000 from citywide Public Facilities Capital <br />Improvements for light pole painting. <br />The city received two bids for this work: <br />Aerial: $ 7,175 <br />Outdoor Lighting Services: $ 6,150 <br />At the meeting, staff will have paint chips for the council's consideration. Staff has reviewed <br />two choices, architectural bronze, and a dark forest green, and would appreciate the council's <br />• input on these two colors. <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />• Approval of painting contract for 41 decorative streetlights, and recommendation on <br />color choices <br />• <br />~4 <br />
