Specifically, I have included the following in this packet/memo: 1. Reserve Policy-draft (attached) 2. Total Employee Compensation spreadsheet (attached) 3. Enterprise Fund update (attached) 4. Debt Service update (attached) 5. General Fund update (attached) 6. Tree policy and program update (in memo) 7. Reserve Analysis update (attached) 8. Consultant review policy info (in memo) Tree Policy: I have talked with Anita about your suggestion regarding a tree program whereby residents could have the option to replace a boulevard tree at their time and expense. She feels, as do I, that this could work if we do the proper education about how to plant trees. Also, we feel that there should be a limited list of trees that are suitable for the boulevard, as well as some standards regarding size of the tree, and how it is prepared for planting (balled and burlapped, vs. pot- grown, etc...). I have asked Anita to make some specific recommendations about how this • program would work, and investigate which species of tree we know are susceptible to disease, and which make particularly good boulevard trees (salt resistance, canopy, trimming schedules, HOME OF THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR AND THE U OF M INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE ~~~) PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER
