• <br />POSITION DESCRIPTION <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />POSITION TITLE: Recreation Coordinator <br />DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation <br />REPORTS TO: Parks and Public Works Director <br />STATUS: Part time, Regular, Hourly, 20% time <br />DUTIES: <br />• Plan, schedule, and implement existing recreation programming. <br />• Develop and implement new recreation opportunities. <br />• Recruit, select, train and evaluate recreation staff. <br />• • Prepare brochures, registration information and special event flyers. <br />• Plan, promote, and conduct special events and activities. <br />• Attend park commission meetings as needed. <br />• Perform other duties as assigned by the Parks and Public Works Director. <br />WORK SCEDULE: <br />• Regular, part time averaging about 20% time or about 416 hours per year. <br />• Flexible schedule based upon seasonal demand. <br />MINNIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: <br />• Work experience for the equivalent of three years in a responsible position requiring <br />scheduling and supervision of recreation staff. <br />• Four-year college degree in a recreation or education related field, or five years of <br />experience in an equivalent position. <br />~4 <br />
