• FALCON HEIGHTS SIGNIFICANT CASES <br />The police department works a large variety of criminal cases. Commonplace arrests for <br />narcotics violations, theft, assault, and damage to property are part of our everyday <br />caseload. However, to give the citizens an idea of some of the more significant cases <br />worked this year, we would submit the following (this list is by no means exhaustive of <br />the police department's yearly case load): <br />• Controlled Substance Crime (02000951) -Traffic stop yielded a large amount of <br />controlled substances. Search warrant drawn up and executed at a St. Paul <br />residence. Additional controlled substances recovered. One adult male charged. <br />• Felony Theft (02000778) -Recovered occupied stolen vehicle. Adult male party <br />arrested. Located several weapons inside the vehicle that were linked to several <br />St. Paul robberies. <br />• Residential Burglary (02002753 and 3044) -Extensive investigation yielded <br />suspect. Property recovered at a pawnshop in St. Paul. Investigation resulted in <br />the arrest of one adult male who was a very active burglar in the metro area. <br />• Insurance Fraud -Worked with an insurance company regarding fraudulent <br />claims. Fraudulent claims confirmed and one adult male was arrested. Case <br />• stemmed from fraudulent claims regarding damage to motor vehicles. <br />• Death Investigation (02007304) -Squads responded to a suspicious death. <br />Medical examiner and Crime Lab to the scene to assist with investigation. Photos <br />and evidence collected. Medical examiner ultimately ruled death as natural. <br />• Criminal Sexual Conduct (02004090) - 10 year old female victim made <br />revelation at school. Non penetration case involving a family member. <br />Investigation resulted in the arrest of one adult male. <br />• 3'~ Degree Assault (02002448) -Clerk attacked at a local business. Lengthy <br />investigation resulted in the identification of a potential suspect. Felony case <br />declined and suspect charged with 5~' degree assault. <br />
