There were a total of six bids received. A list of the Contractors and their <br />bids is provided below. An itemized bid tabulation is also attached. <br />• <br />CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID <br />Jay Bros, Inc. $ 210,587.39 <br />North Valley, Inc. $ 247,793.10 <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $ 247,752.00 <br />Hardrives Inc. $ 249,486.15 <br />Bituminous Roadways, Inc $ 271,247.20 <br />-Midwest Asphalt Corp. $ 289,903.00 <br />The engineer's construction cost estimate for this project was $ 230,052.50. The low bid of Jay <br />Bros. Inc. is approximately 8.5% below the engineer's estimate. The total bid for Schedules 1.0, <br />1.1, and 1.2 which contain the Sheldon Street Portion of the bid is $ 59,998.04. The Folwell <br />Avenue portion of the bid, Schedules 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, totals to $ 150,589.35. <br />It is our understanding that the City Council will consider awarding this project at the May 28~' <br />City Council meeting.
