POLICY ITEM: G3 <br />6/25/03 <br />ITEM: Recognition of Leo Lindig and His Family for Thirty-Eight Years <br />of Service to the Falcon Heights Fire Department <br />SUBMITTED BY: Clem Kurhajetz, Fire Chief, and Mary Shea Kodluboy, Deputy Clerk <br />EXPLANATION/SUMMARY: <br />Summary: Leo Lindig is retiring from the Falcon Heights Fire Department, after thirty-eight years <br />of service. Leo, during the course of his career, held every position on the Fire Department, from <br />beginning firefighter to chief. He also served as president of the Relief Association for ten years. The <br />City wishes to show special recognition to Leo for his years of service, and also to his wife Barbara <br />and their family, for their involvement with the Fire Department. <br />A point of interest: Leo's boyhood home was located where the City Hall gazebo has been constructed. <br /> <br />38 <br />
