r~
u
If a city project to maintain or rebuild streets resulted in toxic emissions or massive structural
damage, do we feel one million dollars is sufficient to provide for the injured or repair the
damage, or would we feel more comfortable at two million dollars of protection?
If a city operated or sponsored social or recreational event resulted in the injury of many people,
do we feel one million dollars is sufficient to provide for the injured or would we feel more
comfortable at two million dollars of protection?
The cost of the first million dollars of protection for our citizens is $17,637. We are obligated to
provide that level of protection. The cost of an additional million is $1198, or about 22 cents per
resident. The 22 cents could be funded out of the current budget and would not result in an
increase in property taxes.
We need to provide this additional level of protection.

•
~3
