G~ <br />AGREEMENT <br />CAPITOL REGION WATERSHED DISTRICT <br />Como Lake Subwatershed 7 Area Study <br />• <br />i• <br />This agreement is between the Capitol Region Watershed District (hereinafter "District"); <br />Ramsey County, City of St. Paul, City of Roseville, and City of Falcon Heights (hereinafter <br />"Partners"). <br />Background <br />The District and Partners have determined the need to conduct a hydrological investigation of the <br />Como Lake Subwatershed 7 area. The purposes of the project are: <br />1) to evaluate water conveyance capacity limitations in the Subwatershed and identify potential <br />solutions and costs; <br />2) to evaluate related water quality impacts and identify specific Best Management Practices <br />and associated costs for the purpose of meeting the implementation objectives of the <br />District's Como Lake Strategic Plan; <br />3) to identify a fair cost distribution among the Partners for future implementation projects <br />addressing the water conveyance capacity issue and water quality impacts in Como Lake <br />Subwatershed 7; and <br />4) to prepare a project implementation timetable. <br />Agreement <br />1. Terms of Agreement <br />1.1 Effective date: The date the District obtains all required signatures. <br />1.2 Expiration date: September 1, 2003 or until all obligations have been satisfactorily <br />fulfilled, whichever comes first. This Agreement shall continue in effect unless terminated or <br />cancelled under Section 8 or the expiration date, whichever is earlier. <br />2. Agreement between the Parties <br />2.1 Scope of Study <br />(1) District will complete the following: <br />a. Select a subcontractor, subject to approval by the Partners, to perform the <br />tasks set forth in Exhibit A, Work Plan. <br />b. Execute and administer a contract with the selected subcontractor to <br />perform the tasks set forth in Exhibit A. <br />c. Provide available information to the subcontractor, as requested, in <br />support of the project. <br />d. Participate in meetings and discussions with the subcontractor and <br />Partners toward the successful completion of the project. <br />(2) Partners will complete the following: <br />a.
