The company has proposed divesting itself of all responsibility for <br />providing community access cable television programming. <br />2. The North Suburban Cable Commission has studied the ramifications <br />of this divestiture for over two years. <br />3. The Commission and the company have negotiated terms to effect the <br />transfer which include: <br />A. The Commission will assume all responsibility for community <br />access cable television programming within the ten Member <br />Cities. That f~inction w3.11 be delegated to the non-profit <br />access corporation which has been in existence since 1985. <br />B. The company will be relieved of its community television <br />responsibility except for the maintenance, repair and technical <br />performance of the system. <br />C. The company will transfer equipment valued in excess of <br />$1,000,000 to the Commission. <br />D. The company will make available 12 channels for government, <br />education, and public access.
