Consent x
Policy
•
•

CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS
REQUEST. FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION
Meeting Date:4/25/90
AgQnda Item: E-10
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
REQUEST FOR WAIVER OF ADDRESS SPECIFIC LICENSING
REQUIREMENT OF SECTION 5-14.02, SUBD. B OF THE
CITY CODE
SUBMITTED BY: Dennis Hunt
REVIEWED BY: Shirley Chenoweth
EXPLANATION/SUMMARY (attach additional sheets as necessary):
Due to the recent bankruptcy court decision denying reorganization,
Dennis Hunt has rented the space at 1526 West Larpenteur, and will
be moving his retail golf store business to that location. The
City Code requires that business licenses be address specific
and Mr. Hunt is requesting that the requirement be waived in order
that he will not be required to pay another fee. In addition
to the $35.00 fee for his present retail store at 1557 West
Larpenteur, he also licensed six Golf-O-Mat machines at a cost
of $90.00, which he has had no opportunity to use. This would
more than compensate for the cost of a license for 1526 West
Larpenteur. Mr. Hunt indicates he may remain in business until
after the State Fair.
Attachment: Copy of Section 5-14.02, Subd. b, of the Code.
ACTION REQUESTED•
Approve/Disapprove
(f
6/29/87
