• <br />• <br />CONSENT G8 <br />1/12/05 <br />ITEM: Designation of official newspaper for 2005 <br />SUBMITTED BY: Heather Worthington, City Administrator <br />EXPLANATION: <br />Summary: State statute requires that a city designate a legal newspaper of general circulation <br />in the City. This newspaper is used when the city is required to publish legal notification <br />regarding public hearings, elections and city financial matters. There are three local papers that <br />service Falcon Heights: Focus News, Park Bugle and the Roseville Review. <br />Staff recommends that the City designate the Roseville Review as its legal newspaper in 2005 <br />for the following reasons. <br />• The Roseville Review circulates to most households in Falcon Heights. <br />• The Roseville Review is a weekly publication.
