• <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />DATE: 3/27/95 <br />ITEM: <br />ITEM: Report on the proposed landscaping plans for Larpenteur Avenue and the <br />Snelling and Larpenteur community business district <br />SUBMITTED BY: Fred Hoisington, Hoisington and Koegler <br />Michael Schroeder, Hoisington and Koegler <br />EXPLANATION/DESCRIPTION: <br />The city's 1980 and 1991 comprehensive plans identify a need to upgrade the city's <br />community business district at Snelling and Larpenteur Avenues as well as to improve <br />community identity and aesthetics when the opportunity presents itself. <br />The county's plan to reconstruct Larpenteur Avenue from Dale Street to Eustis Street <br />in 1997 and 1998 provides the city with an opportunity to make some major <br />landscaping and identifying improvements on the city's longest corridor. <br />The city council contracted with the Hoisington/Koegler Group to prepare plans for the <br />Larpenteur Avenue improvements. Fred Hoisington will be at the meeting to present <br />the plans for the commission's information, comments and consideration. <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />1. Introduce Fred Hoisington and Terry Maurer, the city engineer <br />2. Brief introduction to the Larpenteur Avenue project by administrator <br />3. Presentation and discussion of plans for Larpenteur Avenue and business <br />district <br />4. Commission questions and comments <br />., <br />
