Below is a summary of <br />PLANNING the requirements of the program, along with some information about how each requirement <br />SOLID WASTE affects the City of Falcon Heights. <br />STRUCTURAL <br />SURVEYING BACKGROUND <br />TRAFFIC <br />TRANSPORTATION Effective September 30, 1992, the Metropolitan Council adopted the "Interim Strategy to <br /> Reduce Nonpoint Source Pollution to All Metropolitan Water Bodies" for areas within the <br />ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL Minnesota River Basin. Effective January 1, 1993, the strategy was adopted for the <br />ENC~NEERINC: remainder of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Communities within the metropolitan area <br />HvAC are now implementing this strategy at the local level. <br />POWER DISTRIBUTION <br />ScADA The strategy includes three essential requirements: <br />SYSTEM CONTROLS <br /> 1. Local governments must adopt design standards for new storm water ponds that will <br /> reduce the contaminant loadings from surface runoff. <br />2. Local governments must follow "Best Management Practices" as outlined in several <br />publications by the MPCA, MnDOT and others. <br />OFFICES IN: <br />• MINNEAPOLIS <br />PRIOR LAKE <br />ST.
