CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS
1995 BUDGET
•
ACTIVITY: Infrastructure Capital Funds and Five Year Capital
Improvement Plan
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: The infrastructure fund provides the planned
reconstruction of the city's infrastructure.
ANALYSIS/COMMENTS:
Street projects will effect the city's street & park maintenance
operating budget in the form of maintaining, cleaning and removing snow
from the non-motorized pathways. Starting in -1994, sealcoating
projects will be budgeted for maintenance of streets on a four year
cycle.
1995
• The infrastructure improvement fund includes costs associated
with water hydrants, water line replacement, storm sewer,
sanitary sewer, curb, gutter and street reconstruction. The
next major project is Larpenteur Avenue 1997, which is a
county project, but will require city funds.
• The 1995 capital plan includes an alley replacement program
for the most deteriorated alleys in the Northome •
neighborhood. Prior to planning much further for local
street reconstruction, staff recommends re-evaluating the
condition of the streets that are scheduled for
reconstruction and the financing available in 1997 and
beyond.
124
