C~ <br />City of Falcon Heights <br />Planning Commission <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />PROPOSED RESOLUTION RELATED TO THE CITY'S INTERIM DEVELOPMENT <br />MORATORIUM <br />Whereas, over the past three years the Planning Commission of the City of Falcon <br />Heights reviewed and recommended revisions to the city council in the city's <br />comprehensive land use plan and the commercial district zoning code; <br />Whereas, over the past twelve months the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Falcon Heights again reviewed the city's commercial districts' characteristics, <br />purpose and their relationship to the city's residential neighborhoods. It also <br />studied potential secondary impacts from some uses and the city's commercial <br />districts' relationship to regional commercial service areas; <br />Now therefore be it resolved by the Planning Commission of the City of Falcon <br />Heights, that it recommends the following actions to the City Council of the City of <br />Falcon Heights to protect the health, safety and welfare of its citizens <br />1. Adopt a resolution amending a portion of the city's 1991 Comprehensive <br />Land Use Plan relating to commercial and business areas pending approval <br />by the Metropolitan Council. <br />2. Amend the following sections of the city's zoning code: <br />Chapter 9 - 1.02, Subdivision 2. Definitions. <br />Chapter 9 - 8.01 (B - 1), 9.01 (B - 2) and 10.01( B-3) purpose and intent <br />statements, permitted, conditional and accessory uses, and additional <br />requirements. <br />3. Amend the following sections of the city code to adopt the following <br />licensing requirements and associated fees: <br />Chapter 5 - 1.03 (E) Therapeutic Massage Enterprises. <br />(F) Precious Metal Dealers (one license) <br />Chapter 5 - 4.01 Fees <br />Precious Metal Dealer <br />Investigation fee: 51,500 License: 52,600 <br />Therapeutic Massage Enterprise <br />Investigation fee: 5200 License: 5 100 <br />
