The foundation <br />shall adequately support the building at all points. Every <br />exterior wall shall be free of deterioration, holes, breaks, <br />.loose or rotting boards or timbers and. any otizer tiling that might <br />admit rain or dampness to tine interior portion of t}ie ~ealls. T}le <br />roof s}gall be tight and have rlo defects which raig;lt admit rain <br />and roof drainage shall be adequate to prevent rain water from <br />~:ausing dampness to interior walls. All exterior ~~ood sur=aces, <br />other than decay resistant woods, shall be protected from the <br />e1~~ments and decay by paint or of}ier protective coverings or <br />treatment. If t~~~enty-five percent (7_S;) or more of the exterior <br />surface of such a wood structure is unpainted or unprotected or <br />as determined by t}ze Building Inspector to be p~=int blistered and <br />in need of protection, it s}lall be pai:~ted or protected. <br />(20) [dindows, Doors, Screens: Every r~indow, exterior door • <br />shall be substantially tight and shall be kept in sound condition <br />and r=~oair; every window other t}ian a -fixed window shall be <br />capable of being easily opened. Every window, door and .frame <br />shall be constructed and maintained in such relation to the <br />adjacent wall as to completely exclude rain, ~•rind, vermin and <br />rodents from entering the building. Every window or other <br />devices with openings to outside w}zic}1 are used or intended to be <br />used for ventilation shall be supplied with sixteen (16) mesh <br />screen during the insect season. <br />(21) doors, Interior Walls, Ceilings: Every floor, <br />interior wall, and ceiling shall be adequately protected against <br />the passage and harborage of vermin and rodents, and shallybe <br />kept in sound condition and good repair. Every floor shall be <br />free of loose, warped, protruding or •rotted flooring materials. <br />Every interior wall and ceiling shall be free of holes and large <br />cracks and loose plaster and shall be maintained in a ticht <br />weather-proof condition. Toxic paints/materials shall not be <br />used where readily accessible to children. Every toilst room and <br />bathroom floor surface shall be capable of being easily <br />maintained in a clean and sanitary manner. <br />(22) Rodent .Proof: Every dwelling and accessory structure <br />and the premises upon whiciz located shall be maintained in a <br />rodent-free and rodent-proof condition.
