PLANNING COMMISSION <br />• MEETING DATE: 6/7/93 <br />AGENDA ITEM: 2 <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Third draft of proposed commercial zoning <br />district revisions <br />SUBMITTED BY: Fred Hoisington, Planning Consultant <br />REVIEWED BY: Susan Hoyt, City Administrator <br />EXPLANATION/DESCRIPTION: <br />Another draft of the proposed commercial zoning code is attached <br />with staff's highlighted comments. <br />The following general changes have been made in the districts: <br />• B-3 is now B-1 - Neighborhood Convenience <br />• B-1 is now B-2 - Unlimited Business District <br />• B-2 is now B-3 - Snelling/Larpenteur Business District <br />(instead of central business <br />district) <br />• • These changes were made to keep the numbers consistent <br />with other zoning codes and to eliminate the central <br />business district term from the Snelling/Larpenteur <br />area which has unique qualities that separate it from a <br />typical central business district. <br />• The B-2 district is designed to cover the unique blend <br />of uses that are currently there and reasonable future <br />uses. There is not alot of change anticipated in this <br />district in the next 10 to 20 years. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />A. Zoning map of business districts <br />B.
