CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />1993 BUDGET <br />• DEPARTMENT: Public Works <br />ACTIVITY: Five Year Capital Improvement Plan <br />ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: The Public Works section is for equipment which is <br />used in the area infrastructure maintenance. <br />ANALYSIS/COMMENTS: 1993 expenditures include: <br />• replacement of the radio equipment which was purchased in the <br />early '80's. The city is currently having problems with the <br />system in that the radios pick up other signals; <br />• a new item to improve the Public~Works storage area. This area is <br />currently an older privacy type fencing which is unsecured. This <br />would be improved both aesthetically and in security; <br />• the purchase of a tripod & harness for the lowering of public <br />works personnel into confined spaces such as manholes; <br />• replacement of the city limit signs which have the old city logo <br />and population data on them. <br />The storage improvement would have some time impact on the Public Works <br />• department. Public Works would have to spend time reorganizing and <br />cleaning up the Public Works area. This is a one time time-constraint <br />and is believed to have little impact on the future operating budget. <br />• <br />
