REPORTS, REQUESTS, RECOMMENDATIONS:
• 1. Update on Comprehensive Plan
Hoyt reported the city's 1991 comprehensive plan was
approved by the Metro Council and Community Development
Committee on March 23, 1992 with no changes. The full Metro
Council will act on the plan April 9, 1992.
The Metropolitan Council recommended that the city determine
the source and volume of water flows generated by the city,
U of M, and State Fairgrounds through a Tier I & Tier II
study. The Metropolitan Council staff also would like the
city to work with the State Fair to encourage separation of
sanitary/storm sewers although they realize the city has no
authority to do so.
STAFF UPDATE•
1. Cleveland Avenue Reconstruction
Plans have been approved and construction is scheduled to
begin after the State Fair is over - sometime after Labor
Day.
2. Rottlund Home Development
• Rottlund is still interested in developing the 24 unit
townhouse. They are presently working out a purchase
agreement with the bank.
3. Falcon Heights/Roseville Cooperative Study
Two community meetings are being planned for the citizens of
Falcon Heights on April 21 and April 30 to discuss
opportunities of cooperating/contracting/more services with
Roseville or merging the two cities.
Hoyt explained that participants will break into small
groups to discuss opportunities for contracting/merging.
There being no further business, meeting was adjourned at 8:25.
•
