UCC <br />Fred Hoisington, Consultant <br />Meeting was <br />APPROVAL OF <br />Minutes of <br />approved as <br />. REOUEST FOR <br />HOLTON <br />called to order by Chair Len Boche at 7:30 p.m. <br />MINUTES• <br />the September 23, 1991 meeting were unanimously <br />written. <br />NO PARKING ALONG GARDEN AVENUE BETWEEN PASCAL AND <br />Mr. West, representing the Falcon Heights United Church of <br />Christ, asked the commission that "no parking" be extended the <br />entire length of Garden between Holton and Pascal, and that the <br />signs be placed perpendicular to the street so they face the <br />traffic rather than parallel thus making them much easier to read <br />as indicated in the planner's report. This additional parking <br />space will allow cars to drop off passengers directly in front of <br />the main church entrance. <br />Carolyn Nestingen moved to approve the request. Passed with four <br />aye votes and one abstention (Barry, since he is on the church <br />board). <br />PLANNING COMMISSION/COUNCIL WORKSHOP TO DISCUSS THE DRAFT <br />COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN <br />Fred Hoisington thoroughly reviewed the entire draft of the <br />comprehensive land use plan with the commission and council <br />members. After recommending a few minor additions and deletions, <br />the commission set November 20, 7:30 p.m. for a public hearing on <br />the plan and recommended it go to the city council on the <br />November 27 meeting agenda. <br />
