Barry suggested changing reviewing the <br />desirability of an LRT zone in five years or less if necessary or <br />desirable in number 4. The commission agreed. It was also <br />agreed numbers 5 and 6 basically go together, therefore, number 6 <br />was unnecessary and should be struck. <br />DISCUSSION OF A PRELIMINARY CONCEPT PLAN FOR THE SOUTHEAST AND <br />NORTHWEST CORNERS OF SNELLING AND LARPENTEUR <br />The commission discussed the value of including diagrams to <br />illustrate possible changes in the southeast and northwest <br />corners of Snelling and Larpenteur. Commission members thought <br />they might be viewed as actual plans rather than concepts. After <br />much discussion, it was agreed to include diagrams of the <br />Bullseye corner and the Hamline/Hoyt neighborhood retail area <br />with the SE and the NW corners of Larpenteur and Snelling in the <br />comprehensive plan appendix. <br />SCHEDULE A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE DRAFT COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />The commission tentatively scheduled a public hearing on the plan <br />for Monday, November 18. The plan will be available to the <br />. public before the public hearing. Residents who participated in <br />the forums will be notified two to three weeks before the <br />hearing.
