• <br />DRAFT 1/28/91 <br />Page 4 <br />STATE FAIRGROUNDS AND UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA <br />OBJECTIVES: <br />1. To encourage the State Fairgrounds to remain in Falcon <br />Heights. <br />2. To encourage the University of Minnesota to retain its <br />agricultural research lands in Falcon Heights. <br />3. To continue to communicate and cooperate with the University <br />of Minnesota and State Fairground staff in planning consid- <br />erations which include traffic and pedestrian circulation, <br />conflict avoidance with nearby business and residential <br />areas, visual appearance and drainage considerations. <br />POLICIES: <br />1. Work with the University of Minnesota and the State <br />Fairground staff to keep informed of any significant <br />changes in long range development plans. <br />2. Encourage the University of Minnesota physical plant <br />to expand south of Larpenteur in areas adjacent to the <br />built campus rather than in the agricultural lands <br />and open space. <br />3. Regulate all non-university development/use of <br />University owned lands. <br /> <br />
