Environmental protection? <br />* No additional pollution <br />* Reduce air pollution at major intersections like Snelling <br />& Larpenteur and Hamline & Larpenteur <br />* More hazardous waste clean-ups <br />* Encourage recycling <br />* Encourage saving and replacing trees . <br />* Consider the environmental impact of any redevelopment and <br />new development including transportation <br />* No heavy industry <br />• <br />b. University of Minnesota agricultural .lands? <br />* Preserve them as they are <br />* Consider beautification along the edges of the fields <br />* Be prepared for a contingency plan if ownership changes <br />such as: <br />- consider keeping the land as open space <br />- consider revising the current zoning to include business <br />use along Larpenteur and possibly multi-family use <br />- consider single family housing <br />c. Adequacy of public services? <br />* Generally very adequate <br />* Improve tree trimming and grass maintenance <br />* Provide curbside leaf pick-up <br />* Consider organized or integrated garbage collection <br />(almost a complete consensus) <br />* Maintain independent haulers <br />* Evaluate the police and emergency services <br />* Improve drainage on Lindig Street <br />* Underground wiring of power, telephone, cable throughout <br />the city <br />* Keep level of service provision equivalent to other north <br />suburban communities <br />d.
