Meeting Date 6-/2/90 <br />Agenda Item E-1 <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />ITEM-DESCRIPTION: A public hearing on a request for a conditional <br />use permit for a pet grooming and limited pet boarding business at <br />1660 'Snelling Avenue North in the Northome Shopping Center in a <br />B-2 zone. <br />SUBMITTED BY: Ms. Roberta Madison, Proprietor, on behalf of <br />property owner, Mr. Steve Cheney. <br />REVIEWED $Y: Susan Hoyt, City Planner <br />EXPLANATION/SITMMARY: (attach additional sheets as .necessary) <br />Ms. Roberta Madison is requesting a conditional use permit to <br />operate a pet grooming and limited pet boarding business at 1660 <br />Snelling Avenue North in the Northome Shopping Center in a B-2 <br />zone. <br />. The space was previously used by a veterinary clinic which was <br />granted a conditional use permit. The new use requires a new <br />conditional use permit because it falls under 9-10.01 Subdivision <br />2 - other retail uses of a similar nature. This use is similar to <br />a veterinary clinic (9-10.01 Subdivision 2(n) because it provides <br />animal care. The conditional use permit is necessary for the pet <br />boarding portion of the business. <br />ATTACHMENT 1 Proprietor's Description and Plan <br />ATTACHMENT 2 Planner's Report on a Request for a Conditional <br />Use Permit for a Pet Grooming and Limited Pet <br />Boarding Business. <br />ACTION---REQIIESTED <br />1.
