Meeting Date: 4/23/9(
CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS Age*+da Item: E-2
C
PLANNING COMMISSION
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
PERMITTED ACCESSORY USE PERMIT FOR A UTILITY SHED
AT 1900 SIMPSON STREET IN AN R-1 ZONE
SIIBrSITTED BY: Mr. Ronald Hagen, Property Owner
REVIEWED BY: Susan Hoyt Taff, City Planner
D~LANATIOIQ/SUl4iARY (attach additional sheets as necessary):
Mr. Hagen proposes to construct an addition to an existing utility
shed. fie was unaware of the requirement for a permitted accessory
use permit when he built the initial structure so he is requesting
the permit at this time.
The storage area is 6 ft. wide by 11 ft. long and 12. ft high, which
meets the requirements of 9-2.04 (1)(i). The bottom portion of the
shed is built against the cedar fence, which is more than one
foot from the rear and side lot lines, and, therefore, meets the
requirements of 9-2.04 (1)(c).
The structure will be finished in rough cedar and left in its
natural color to match the fence.
,The 66 square foot structure does not require a building permit.
Attachment A - Site Plan, 1900 Simpson Street.
ACTION EEQITLSTID:
1.
