PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT 9-2.10, 2.13 <br />9-2.10 Land Reclamation. Land reclamation as defined herein shall be <br />• permitted only by conditional use permit in all districts. <br />9-2.11 Mining. Mining as defined herein shall be permitted only by <br />conditional use permit. <br />9-2.12 Conformance with Regulations. Upon application for a building permit, <br />a detailed .site and development plan, if applicable, shall be submitted to the <br />Zoning Administrator indicating conformance with regulations of this Chapter. <br />Plan submission requirements shall be as noted herein and as may be requested <br />by the Zoning Administrator. <br />9-2.13 Firewood Storage <br />Subdivision 1. Scope• This ordinance applies to the storage of wood <br />on residential properties within the City of Falcon Heights. The <br />ordinance shall apply to any wood or wood product usually used or <br />intended to be used as firewood. <br />Subdivision 2. Conditions of Storage. To protect the public health <br />and safety, wood piles must be erected, located, and maintained in a <br />safe and orderly fashion: <br />a. in neat and secure stacks; <br />• b. the maximum height allowed for the woodpile is six feet; <br />c. no wood shall be stored within the required minimum area of <br />setback from the street right-of-way; <br />d. no wood shall be stored in a front yard which is commonly <br />considered the front yard. <br />Subdivision 3. Exemptions. Wood stored or kept in a covered <br />structure impervious to the elements is exempt from the conditions <br />outlined in Section 2. <br />Subdivision ~4. Existing Woodpiles. Any woodpile in existence as of <br />the date of the passage of this ordinance which does not comply with the <br />provisions of this ordinance must be moved or placed in compliance <br />within 90 days after written notice to comply has been given to the <br />occupant of the residence by the zoning administrator. Such notice <br />shall be in writing and shall be served upon the property owner either <br />in person or by mail. <br />Subdivision 5. Penalties. Any person who shall violate any provision <br />of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a <br />misdemeanor. <br />• <br />34 <br />
