f <br />,~ <br />n <br />j <br />• <br />WORKSHOP WITH CITY COUNCIL ?-ND HAULER LICENSING: <br />Consensus among the commission was that the commission should come up with <br />an integrated plan for collection including hauler licensing. The commission <br />would then. submit the plan to the City Council for approval. Discussed problems <br />in developing a comprehensive plan such as limiting haulers to prevent wear <br />on city streets, creating a competition among haulers so the city gets the most <br />for its money should rates be based on volume. Nancy Misra and John Hustad <br />drafted part of a plan slang with other commission members to include three rate <br />levels and posting of rates by haulers would be included in the new procedure. <br />Nancy Misra and John Hustad will complete the plan and submit at the newt Solid <br />Waste Commission meeting in November. The commission would then review the plan <br />and make any changes before taking it to the.
